Have you noticed/considered/dissected why the drawings/paintings/art you’re making lately are mostly thin white girls with thigh gaps? This isn’t me saying you shouldn’t, just me asking if you noticed the trend. Are you comfortable knowing that I’ve noticed your trend? That you NOTICEABLY only draw thin white bodies? Now that YOU’VE noticed, are you comfortable realizing you’re subtly saying the only bodies worth drawing (the bodies you desire to draw most cuz well hell that’s all you’ve drawn it’s not like ppl are forcing you at gun point to make these artistic decisions) so the only bodies worth drawing are thin white girls with nearly prepubescent bodies when the average size of the American woman is a size 14? Are you comfortable being a part of the unstoppable current washing over society saying thin white bodies are not only the norm, but all there really is? That this small group of people, they are the only people worth drawing. But it’s only bc of aesthetic. It’s just what you like. Aesthetically. It’s just that… It’s… The only thing you aesthetically like… And the other groups just don’t have the same… Beauty…or worth….oh shit you just realized you have some internalized issues you need to work out with standards of beauty (hopefully). Bc what you draw is you expressing yourself, so take a look at what you’ve been expressing. I’m asking you if you’re comfortable knowing that 97% of your art is thin white girls telling the same type of person’s story. And I’m not saying only draw people of color from now on. I am asking YOU if YOU are comfortable knowing you never did. Im not saying only draw fat people, or queer people, or trans people, or disabled people. I’m asking if you’re comfortable knowing you never did. Are you comfortable knowing you were a part of the problem?
