One week ago, Freddie Gray was arrested in Baltimore for no apparent reason. While in police custody, he was beaten so severely that his spine became 80% severed from his neck. He died in the hospital this morning.

“According to a police timeline he was fine when he was loaded into a van to be taken to the district station, but was injured by the time he got out. He suffered a broken vertebra and an injured voice box, his family said.”

Aside from a possible broken leg, Freddie Gray was arrested completely healthy. Hours later he was in the ICU in a coma with severe injuries.
