Why the hate on ruby?

• she’s just so fucking typical
• ppl think her video on gender is so revolutionary bc fancy editing
• when like literally every thin white dfab p masc person has done the ‘look i’m a sexy woman in a dress and heels now i’m an aggressive manly man in a shirt and slacks!!!’ thing
• it caters to the cis gaze (ace bandage as binding, + more visual cues that are easily digestible to cis ppl to “make sense” of transness and gender)
• there’s a thousand ways to be non binary and yes this is one of them but there’s already tons of representation for gender non conforming and non binary ppl like her and she takes up so much of the space and voice (literally her face comes up when you look up ‘androgynous’ on google images)
• white ppl look up to ppl like ruby rose, miley cyrus, raine dove, erika linder, etc for their ‘androgynous’ look while butch trans women, femme trans men, trans and non binary poc, fat trans and non binary ppl, etc are told they aren’t attractive, androgynous, non binary, and/or trans enough
