HELL YEAH LET’S GO
- How I feel about this character: Pearl is amazing and wonderful and ye she has issues and done some bad stuff but gosh does she try and i feel so much for her. She’s been told she’s defective and weak and I just want her to be okay.
- All the people I ship romantically with this character: ROSE, Garnet, and Amethyst lol. With Steven Universe everything is ga(y)me.
- My non-romantic OTP for this character: Pearl and Connie. Pearl learning from Connie what it means to care about Steven and others while not seeing yourself as disposable. Connie learning from Pearl about strategy and smooth fighting moves. The two of them learning and Connie helping Pearl grow even though Pearl is 5000+ years old.
- My unpopular opinion about this character: I don’t think Pearl not ‘saving’ Steven when he fell means she doesn’t actually care about him? Like, IMO, u see her looking over the edge. She sees him grab the vines. I don’t doubt that if he had fallen and not caught himself she would have saved him. But she saw he was ‘okay’. and it was still poopy for her to leave him but he made it, and she was clearly upset by what she did (or didn’t do) and idk man. ppl use that scene to say that Pearl doesn’t care about Steven, only Rose Quartz, and it irks me.
- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish she would accept that she fucked up more and I wish she would be kinder to Amethyst.
- my OTP: Ughhh honestly I think Pearl and Amethyst. I love Pearl and Rose but my first love was always Pearl and Amethyst.
- my cross over ship: Ehrm. Idk I don’t really do that stuff, sry lol
- a headcanon fact: Pearls aren’t seen as ‘real gems’ bc i mean, they’re not mineral rocks and junk, they’re sand that gets trapped and mushed together. So I imagine Pearl has been told for a good chunk of her life that she’s inferior and not as good bc she’s not a real gem and yeah.
