And y’all love to defend the “fandom elders” who advocate for the shit because you’re under the impression that things were somehow “better” back then as oppose to marginalized folks and people not wanting to have to read more fucking incest bullshit weren’t being bullied into silence.

Anne Rice may have been crazy as hell with her lawyers to get shit taken down back in the day but that’s not remotely what people are trying to do when it comes to giving people more tools to make their fandom navigation of spaces easier and safer.

We don’t have to have another generation of kids being exposed to fucked up shit on the internet if we like…act like those supposed “community elders” y’all wanna claim to be. Because you know what elders in a community do? They take care of the up and coming generation, impart wisdom, and help shit be better than when they were the same age. But none of you fucking clowns who like to joke about how much older and wiser you are act like community elders. Y’all just say that shit to impose some kind of fucking authority over younger fans who just wanna be able to go into the tags of their favorite character and not see some disgusting shit.
