I just want to be able to like a flawed character without it constantly being brought up that they’re trash?? Like yeah they’re a dick but so are other characters and I just?????
I really connect to Anders after watching playthroughs. Like, he does scummy stuff but his motivations and fears and experiences really resonant with me and my experiences in a way. It doesn’t excuse the bad stuff he does and I KNOW THAT. But it just feels kind of shitty to have to constantly defend my choice bc the default attitude of the fans is that he is irredeemable. Every time he is brought up we have to call him a crazy terrorist and it just irritates me.
I just want to like a character without him constantly being brought up in a bad light???? Is that really so much to ask for?
