1. What was your Inquisitor’s first impression of their partner? What was their partner’s first impression of them?

Zev’s first impression of Bull was ‘holy fucking shit he’s big’. He’d seen Bull in action and he was more than a little interested in at least flirting. Bull was more than a little amused that some scrawny elf was the Herald of Andraste, and could probably already tell that Zev had Issues.

Zev’s first impression of Dorian was ‘holy fucking shit he’s good’. He was wary of the mage bit. And the Tevinter bit. And the best-friends-with-the-guy-whose-dad-enslaved-the-mages bit. But the suspicion wasn’t hatred, and he obvi warmed up to Dorian. I imagine Dorian’s first impression of Zev was some sort of disbelief that the person wielding the mark was some random dalish elf, and that he’d figured taller, sterner, and more gruff.

7. What is your Inquisitor’s favorite quality about their partner? Why?

Zev really loves how understanding and gentle Bull is. Bull is patient (to a point) and is an extremely caring individual. He works with Bull through issues and doesn’t tear him down or get snappy or angry. He helps Zev through a lot and he’s Zev’s rock. Zev really loves how passionate and devoted Dorian is. Dorian had plenty to work through too, but he cares so much, and is so fiercely loyal that it makes Zev dizzy in the best way. Both of them show him so much acceptance and he loves that about both of them.

8. What is your Inquisitor and their partner’s favorite way to spend time together?

Fuckin’. Lmao seriously but also Zev is a total cuddlebug so he loves just curling up next to them anywhere and everywhere. Being touched and held and kissed and everything makes him so happy.

1. Did Bull’s profession as a spy affect your Inquisitor’s relationship with him? How did they address it?

Zev was ‘okay’ with it, in that he figured the Qun qould be curious but sort of just… stay over on their side. Sometimes he was paranoid Bull was only getting close to him because the Qun had ordered it or something, and it made their start rocky because Zev would refused to open up to Bull about stuff. They talked it out, and Zev talked to Krem a lot and Leliana, and he eventually sort of let go of most of his fear. When the dreadnought sank, well, it let Zev open up more.

2. How did your Inquisitor deal with Dorian’s return to Tevinter? Did their relationship continue?

The relationship continues. He has the sending crystal paired with Bull’s. He didn’t deal with it well. Of course he supported Dorian outwardly, and he truly wanted Dorian to pursue it. But he was afraid for Dorian’s life, and upset about losing a piece of his heart, not getting to hold Dorian or be held by him whenever he wanted. Paired with the rest of Trespasser Zev sort of spiraled but he was terrified of guilting Dorian into staying with him and kept it quiet best he could, figured he’d die soon anyways. Eventually with his arm lost and dealing with that Zev begged Dorian to stay, at least a little longer. Eventually he healed enough that Dorian returned to Tevinter, and Bull helped him cope. They both helped each other cope. And having the villa helps.

3. What would some of their cutscenes look like?

Zev’s cutscenes would probably vary pretty wildly, he’s super emotional and those emotions are always cycling through. Usually he tries to joke and pretend like he’s aloof in most stuff, unless it concerns elves and then he gets really intense really fast.

Oza’s would mostly her being really standoffish or angry, and eventually a little awkward and stiff. If she warms up to an Inquis, she’s really not sure how to be friends with people, and it throws her off. Her cutscenes would be a lot of her crossing her arms and looking grump or mildly uncomfortable.

5. If they romanced someone as Inquisitor, would they still fall for that person as a companion? How would that play out? How would they react to that person being romanced by the “new” Inquisitor?

Zev, yes! Zev is poly and romances Bull and Dorian. I always like to imagine that if your Inquis doesn’t romance either of those two he ends up with both of them (if you romance one he ends up with the one you DIDN’T romance). He’d be a little jelly of the Inquis romancing that person, but he’d respect that they’re both happy and find happiness with his own partner!

Oza doesn’t romance anyone, and she would not give a single fuck who you romanced. Unless it’s Bull, and then she’s very suspicious and warns you not to trust him so much.

10. If Inquisition operated like DA:O, what would their gift items be? What would their approval and disapproval Feast Day items be?

Zev would love little carvings and things of Dalish make. He likes blankets and soft furs and his big gift item would probably be Dalish Vallaslin Ink. He’d be amazed that you found it and a little saddened, but extremely grateful that you’re giving it to him. His second big gift item would be an Ironbark Amulet. Both gain you a lot of approval from him. Feast Day approval item is Aravel Silk, he ends up using a small patch of it as a scarf/bandana. His disapproval item is a statuette of Andraste carved from Halla horn (or a book written by the Chantry on the ‘savagery’ of the Dalish).

Oza also likes furs and little plants and her big gift item would be Tal-Vashoth- made Vitaar. She’d be surprised and and touched because she’d never been allowed to have her own vitaar and it feels like spiting the Qun. The other gift would be a copy of Ander’s manifesto. Feast Day approval item would be fake horns made of metal that fit over her stubs and look how her old ones did. Her disapproval item would be thick black string.

13. If the Herald didn’t have them tag along to prep the trebuchets, what would they do during the battle for Haven? (bonus: would they join in on the impromptu Dawn Will Come choir practice in the camp?)

Zev would be helping usher people to safety and fighting off any venatori who slipped by. He’d grab what he could for people and do whatever was needed. He does not join in during the song, and is actually extremely uncomfortable and skeptical.

Oza would be focused mainly on herself and eventually whatever mages you have at Haven. She would fight as well and help carry things. She doesn’t join in the song because she doesn’t know the words, but is quietly intrigued.

16. What would the Fear Demon say to them in the Fade to try and discourage them?

“Zevrion, is it? The disappointment of your clan, now clinging to the Inquisitor and holding them back. How much longer do you think they will let you stay? None of them want you, a burden and a joke.”

“You think you’ve won your freedom, Oza, but you are just a rabid dog. A wolf among sheep and the Qun will come to put you down, if the Inquisitor or their soldiers don’t do it first.”

18. What’s their reaction to a dragon showing up?

Zev is super pumped and excited and bouncing with energy. He isn’t excited as Bull but he liked a challenge, and he’ll eagerly go into battle against it.

Oza is reluctant, but something about it calls to her, and she is fierce and ready for battle. She has no opinions either way, or will appear not to, but she keeps her eyes trained on it.

22. If you have another Inquisitor, how would those two get along, specifically?

I guess I’ll just do Valdís lmao! Zev would get along really well with Valdís and trade plenty of jokes and tips with her. He likes that she makes Sera happy and he talks to her plenty. Oza would be indifferent to her at first, and probably grow to respect her quietly. They would slowly grow to be friends in a way.

Co-Habitate :: Do they live with anyone? What’s “need to know” before moving in? Zev lived with the clan before, and he’d def end up living with Bull and Dorian. And then just Bull when Dorian goes back to Tevinter. Sometimes he stays with Sera. The need to know would be that he loves blankets and pillows so he can nest, and he likes to carve things into the walls and stuff. Ambrosia would live with her family (until they all die/leave) and then convince Merrill and Anders and Isabella to move in with her. And Fenris but I imagine he likes having his ‘own’ space. She’s a mess and she leaves clothes and papers and armor and junk everywhere. And she wouldn’t care about walking around in her underwear.

Hobby :: What’s something they do for fun that might be surprising? Zev likes carving and whittling, and he’d probably enjoy knitting or sewing. And listening to explanations of how stuff works. Ambrosia likes reading.

Insomnia :: What’s their sleeping schedule like? Snorer? Sound sleeper? Zev naps all the time, loves laying in the sun. He doesn’t snore but he def probably drools a lot. He’s a light sleeper, but he’ll ignore things unless he knows/thinks it’s a danger. He doesn’t have a very good/set schedule. Ambrosia def snores lmao, and she’s a starfish. She goes to bed super late and sleeps until super late.

Offspring :: What kind of parent would they be? Would they prefer one, or multiple? Zev would be a very loving parent, would never want to pressure his children and he’d be rly gr8. He’d prefer multiple, but even just one would be okay. Ambrosia would be a lax parent, and not necessarily super great, but she’d try her best. She’d want to be supportive like her dad, and not like her mum. She’d prefer one. Sibling things scare her now.

Vice :: What bad habits do they have? Is there something they would be ashamed of? Zev doesn’t think before he speaks a lot. He swears, is an alcoholic, not super clean, picks his scabs, lies, steals, fights. He’s a mess. He’s ashamed of the alcoholism. Ambrosia is in the same sort of boat, tho she doesn’t have an alcohol problem. Admittedly she is a bit ashamed of using blood magic.

Yack :: What’s their favorite thing to talk about? What do they go on about? Zev loves talking about his vhenanen, and telling jokes and stories. He goes on and on about the dalish sometimes and equality and jazz. Loves talking about rogue tricks. Ambrosia really likes talking about magic and mage rights and her friends.

Hahaha, I think hers are all really bitter. Like she ‘regrets’ not killing more qunari, regrets not making her Arvaarad suffer more before she killed him. At some point, after a long long long time. She might regret being so rude and callous towards Bull when he was declared Tal-Vashoth. But she really hates Bull so that would take some time.
