I really liked this last episode, I hope moving forward we see Pearl definitely take steps to accept her mistakes and not make excuses, I’m really happy with what Garnet said to Pearl. And I do think Pearl is learning but if people still bitch about her I’m going to scream. Yes, people (and gems) should be held accountable for their actions but obviously someone as damaged as Pearl should get some slack.. Like, she’s clearly been totally fucked up and I think demonizing her and calling her toxic is a huge pile of Bullshit.
Also, I’m really hoping that now we can see more of Amethyst, and this week showed a lot of her doing wonderful stuff and being extra amazing! I love her so much and this week only quadrupled that.
However, if I see one more post or hear one more complaint about how Pearl’s had too much attention I will rip someone’s throat out. I 150% agree that I want more Amethyst arcs, but jesus christ. These episodes and Pearl bits are still amazing and help ALL of the gems grow. Like chill yer fucking tits. And I honestly believe that Amethyst has had less centralized episodes so far bc while she is also had trauma, she’s stronger and better at moving past it and growing, Pearl isn’t. I still wanna see more Amethyst backstory and episodes but stop tearing down other episodes just because it’s not about your favorite character.
